When Katrina Kaif avoided Kareena Kapoor

Katrina Kaif went to meet Salman Khan on her birthday on the sets of Bodyguard only after his leading lady Kareena Kapoor had left the sets; it’s obvious that there’s a cold war brewing between B-Town’s top two actresses

It is a well-known fact that Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have never seen eye-to-eye with each other. But Salman Khan’s recent decision to rope in Katrina for the opening item number in his next film Bodyguard to add a glamour element to it, has further stoked the fuel in the fire between the two actresses.

Says an insider, “Kareena and Katrina have always had problems especially because being Bollywood’s top actresses, they have been pitted with each other. But things recently took a turn for the worse when Salman decided to ask Katrina to do an item song in his next release Bodyguard with Kareena. Kareena felt she should have been asked first as she has many hit item numbers to her credit. She felt hurt that Salman hadn’t even considered her before he offered the song to Katrina. But Kareena is very proffessional and didn’t say a single word to Salman and anyone else.

But Katrina was feeling every guilty about it. Last week when she dropped in on her birthday on Salman’s sets at Poison where he was shooting for Bodyguard, to also discuss the song with the director and producer, people close to her made discreet enquiries, from the unit people, about Kareena and whether she was there.

Few people know it only Katrina was told Kareena had packed up and left that Katrina went to meet Salman. It was clearly obvious that she was avoiding Kareena and didn’t want to even bump into her by chance.”

One wonders whether a cat fight is brewing between the two actresses and whether Salman will step in to sort it out?
